One Warm Coat is working with wholesalers, manufacturers, and retailers through our Zero Waste Initiative to secure large donations of new and gently worn outerwear items for the children and adults impacted by Hurricane Helene. Multiple pallets of donated items are ready to ship to Asheville, NC, and Augusta, GA, with more to follow. If you represent a company that would like to donate to these efforts, please contact us.
In addition, local individuals and organizations are organizing coat drives to collect outerwear for our nonprofit partners in the impacted areas. We are in the process of building a list of partners in NC and GA that can accept and distribute outerwear items. Because of the logistical challenges and disruptions they are facing, they have asked people outside the area not to ship coats directly to them.
