The Crisis Coat Fund enables One Warm Coat to provide coats for a specific geographic area or partner organization by purchasing coats at wholesale prices and shipping them directly to where there is an emergent need that is not being fully met through the Coat Drive Program.

Since 2019, more than 15,000 coats have been purchased and distributed through the Crisis Coat Fund.

Crisis Coat Fund In Action

Naz Reid, NBA player with the Minnesota Timberwolves, teamed up with One Warm Coat to purchase coats for children in the community where he grew up, through the Crisis Coat Fund. The coats were shipped directly to our nonprofit partner, Boys & Girls Club of Monmouth County.

“Being a teacher is not your typical 9-5 job. So many nights I go home thinking, and worrying, about my students. One of my greatest concerns is them staying warm during the winter months. Not only do our students need to wait at bus stops or walk to school during the cold Northeastern months, but many have trouble keeping heat on inside their homes. I was so overwhelmed and filled with joy when we received coats from One Warm Coat. I hope that this photo of my students fills you with as much joy as the students had when they received their new coats. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. You have made a world of difference in their little lives.”

Marisa, Kindergarten Teacher, Connecticut

Due to purchasing and manufacturing minimums, a minimum donation of $5,000 to the Crisis Coat Fund is required for purchasing coats. If you, or your company, is interested in purchasing new coats for children and/or adults in need, please email patti@onewarmcoat.org.
